Follow these steps to ensure a safe and smooth installation:
1. Plan Your Layout
- Measure the area where you want to install the neon rope light.
- Decide whether you need straight runs, curves, or corners.
- Keep in mind the minimum bending radius (avoid sharp 90° bends).
2. Cutting the Rope Light
- Unplug the rope light before cutting.
- Only cut at the marked cut points (usually every 18" / 0.5m). Cutting elsewhere will damage the light.
3. Splicing & Connecting
- Use the included connectors or accessories—never twist wires together by hand.
- Push the connector pins fully into the copper contacts inside the rope light.
- Secure with clear PVC glue or heat-shrink tubing to keep the connection firm and waterproof.
4. Power Connection
- Attach the power cord firmly to the rope light using the correct connector.
- Make sure the end cap is sealed tightly on the opposite end to prevent moisture entry.
